Purple Octogon began as a group of good friends dedicated to providing the community with new, raw, and on the edge theatre of the highest quality.
The company is comprised of local actors, writers, directors, dancers, singers, MCs, jesters, musicians, artists, and dreamers. We are working towards
an ideal scenario of self-sustainment though our productions.
Purple Octogon has a goal to produce quality entertainment that engages it's audiences with original productions. We pride ourselves in out openness to new works,
and our willingness to take risks. We offer a new approach to theatre, and dare to say what isn't said. We stand out from other theatre companies though our
universal ability to open minds and our audacity to provoke independent thought.

Purple Octogon has been known to take theatre into clubs, bars, or parking lots instead of the traditional theatre setting.
Purple Octogon has perfomed on three different continents with original productions such as: Heaven, Code Red, The Importance of Being Human,
The Comedy Showcase, and The Malcontents. They have also received acclaim for mounting: Who's on First, Dark Side of Oz, A Particular Class
of Women, Surburbia, and Pulp Fiction - Live!
Purple Octogon is a compnay that has performed an unprecendented four different productions in the 2000 Atlantic Fringe Festival. They have also
earned distinction of 'Fringe Hit' with their production of
Code Red, later taken to Edmonton's 20th Anniversary Fringe Festival - A Fringe
Odyessey, the largest Fringe in North America.
Purple Octogon mounted the third installment of
Pulp Fiction - Live! in Toronto after the international success it received in 2004 in London, England.
